Using Story Cubes

When setting reading tasks for this week I found a link to the Read Write Think site. It has an interactive task for Reading making various cubes.

I was able to print the cubes out for the students to construct. Completing the bio cube was very engaging for the students and they were able to demonstrate their understanding of the reading. They are able to save the cube to their own drives. Using templates is a key aspect for PACT assessment. It allows the students to investigate the key characteristics of various writing genre. Make sure you print A2 as A4 cubes can be tricky to construct.
